Other than writing, D.K. Drake is slightly obsessed with running. She’s competed in several ultra-marathons, a handful of marathons, and dozens of races ranging from 5ks to half marathons.
She is currently on a mission to compete in some sort of race in every state and eventually every continent. Except Antarctica. She’s not a fan of frigid temperatures and is always ready when spring arrives each year!
More important than running, however, is her family. She lives with two of her sisters, and they currently foster three children ages five (almost), two, and five months. To show the oldest how special she is, Drake is launching her third book, The Dragon Protector, on March 12, her foster daughter’s fifth birthday.
